Business Case: Strategic Partnership Between WIS / ParentPay Group and Infowijs

Fruytier Lawyers in Business advised WIS and ParentPay Group on entering into a strategic partnership with Infowijs. Our team supported WIS and ParentPay throughout the entire process and helped translate the commercial principles into clear, actionable agreements.

Our Role

We provided legal and strategic guidance to WIS and ParentPay Group in shaping and formalizing the partnership with Infowijs. The process was intensive and engaging, with dedicated teams on both sides of the table. We supported the establishment of a workable partnership framework that allows for both implementation and further development.

Key Activities (selection):

• Structuring and contracting: developing the partnership from initial agreements into a coherent contractual framework.

• Roles and responsibilities: clarifying who is responsible for what during implementation.

• Governance and decision-making: agreements on management and change processes.

• Key topics in platform/integration collaborations: addressing issues such as intellectual property, liability, and continuity.

• Negotiations: organizing, facilitating, and advising on discussions where parties can address all legal and commercial issues.

• Foundation for further integration: contractual flexibility for future integrations and roadmap development.

The Context

WIS and Infowijs share the ambition to better support secondary schools with smart communication and digital solutions. The partnership brings together two well-known names in secondary education, with a clear goal: less fragmentation, more clarity.

Goal of the partnership

The partnership aims to provide broader support to secondary schools—from communication and centralized information provision to financial administration and payments—and to create a stronger foundation for integrating solutions.

First concrete step

As a first step, an integration between Collect (WIS) and Hoy (Infowijs) is being developed so that schools can easily send payment requests and make them visible in the Hoy app, thereby bringing payment processes and school communications together in a single overview.
