Femke has a broad international background in the financial sector. She started on the tax advisory side covering international clients at Paadekoper& Hofman (now Mazars) in Amsterdam and made a switch into banking thereafter. After a short introduction trajectory at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt, which also included an Executive Programme at Stern University in New York, Femke joined the corporate development team which deals with the internal corporate finance/M&A transaction of this globally operating bank. After some years she moved to London to work for Westdeutsche Landesbank, again in Corporate Finance as Business Manager with a focus on internal restructuring. Her financial experience couple with strong strategic knowledge made her an ideal candidate for a new challenge in The Netherlands as part of the senior management team of one of the first privatised hospitals in the country.
Next to her interest in financial and management topics, one of Femke’s focal points has always been the legal side of the business – whether as part of large acquisitions or when negotiating a settlement between various parties. Her natural interest and passion for the subject of law in her previous jobs finally brought her to the decision to switch side and join a law firm.
Femke is fluent in English and German and has built an extensive international network over the years. Your can still find her abroad on a regular basis either for business or leisure since she very much enjoys travelling to foreign countries and experience different cultures.
